Dorothea Steffen ist Gartengestalterin mit Herzblut und seit ihrer Kindheit in der Natur zuhause. Diese Naturverbundenheit lässt ihre Beete leicht und beschwingt oder auch erdverbunden erscheinen.
Zahlreiche Reisen durch die Welt hielt sie in Fotos fest und veröffentlicht ihre Bilder auf Facebook. Die Facebookgruppe „Wir sind Staudenfreunde“ gestaltet sie aktiv mit. Seit zwei Jahren engagiert sie sich im Vorstand der Gesellschaft der Staudenfreunde e.V. als 1. Stellvertretende Präsidentin.
